The Department of Endocrinology and Metabolic Diseases is the only specialized department of endocrinology in the region of Pazardzhik.

The department works on all endocrine clinical pathways in accordance with the standard on endocrinology – 3^rd level of competence – diagnosis and treatment of acute, exacerbated and chronic diseases of the endocrine system of complicated courses, applying modern diagnostic methods and therapeutic protocols as well as conducting training of patients.

The main activity of the Department of Endocrinology and Metabolic Diseases includes admission for diagnosis and treatment of patients with diabetes mellitus, diseases of the thyroid, parathyroid, pituitary and adrenal glands, gonads, bone metabolic diseases, calcium phosphorous metabolism disorders, other metabolic disorders.
