In the Hospital Pharmacy of „MBAL-Uni Hospital“, the following activities are carried out by a team of excellently trained master pharmacists and assistant pharmacists:

• Requesting, storing, preparing, packaging, controlling, dispensing with and without a doctor’s prescription of medicinal products authorized for use in the Republic of Bulgaria, of medical devices, of dietary foods for special medical purposes, infant foods, as well as nutritional supplements and sanitary- hygiene products;
• Preparation and dispensing of medicinal forms according to the main and pharmacopoeial prescription;
• Preparation of medicinal products for systemic treatment of malignant diseases in a form for direct application to the patient with the help of specialized software in a modernly equipped and meeting European standards room;
• Receipt, acquisition, storage and distribution of medicinal products received in accordance with Ordinance 10/17.11.2011 of the Ministry of Health on the conditions and procedures for treatment with medicinal products not authorized for use in the Republic of Bulgaria and as donations;
• Receiving, storing and dispensing medicinal products subject to clinical trials in compliance with the rules of Good Clinical Practice;
• Providing consultations to patients with assigned systemic treatment of malignant diseases by a clinical pharmacist;
• Controlling the expiration dates and compliance with the storage conditions of the medicinal products in the departments.
