Dr. Yavor Drenski was elected Governor of Uni Hospital at a General Assembly held on March, 30th. From the beginning of 2019, Dr. Drenski is CEO of the hospital’s investment company  – „Assarel Panagyurishte Health“, and will continue to combine the two management positions.

Traditionally, the new Govermor was represented by Dipl.Eng. Delcho Nikolov, Executive Director of Assarel-Medet and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Assarel Panagyurishte Health. „Thank you for successfully coping with the difficulties, you are having support in our face,“ said Dipl.Eng. Nikolov to the medical staff. „We believe that as Governor, Dr. Drenski will meet the challenges of the times,“ he added. „I am convinced that the hospital has great potential with its most valuable capital – our highly qualified medical teams, thanks to whom Uni Hospital will continue to be a guarantee of quality and excellent medical care,“ said Dr. Drenski.

From 2010 to 2016, Dr. Drenski was CEO of Tokuda Hospital Sofia. He has been part of the Japanese hospital team since its inception, successively holding the positions of Administrative Director (2005-2009) and Medical Director (2009-2010). In the period 2002 – 2005 he was „Hospital care“ Director at the National Health Insurance Fund. Dr. Drenski has extensive experience as an international health consultant to global companies such as Bearing Point, 3M, Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, etc.

Dr. Yavor Drenski graduated Medicine in 1992 at Medical University – Sofia. His medical education continues with a specialization in Obstetrics and Gynecology, working for 8 years as a physician. He holds Master’s degree in Healthcare Management since 2009, and Master’s degree in Finance since 2003. He has completed a number of specializations in hospital management and hospital finance – in the United States, Switzerland, Hungary, Britain, Japan and others. .

In 2013 he was one of the founders and first Chairman of the National Association of Private Hospitals. In 2016 he was Chairman of the Board of the Bulgarian Association for Personalized Medicine, and later Executive Director, as he is now.

In 2015 he was awarded „Hospital Manager of 2015“. In November of the same year he was awarded Manager of the Year in the campaign of Standart Daily, Darik Radio and the Ministry of Health „Young Medic“ for active support in the development of young doctors and health care professionals.
